Almost every flagship smartphone ships without a free charger — but is this also true of the OnePlus 10 Pro? OnePlus phones have changed a lot in recent years. The original OnePlus One stood out as a sort of anti-flagship. It had a wholly original design, top-of-the-line specs, and cost hundreds of dollars less than the competition. But that strategy didn’t last for long. Since then, every new OnePlus handset has gradually gotten closer and closer to being a ‘normal’ flagship. Rather than trying to be a flagship killer, more recent OnePlus smartphones have been straight-up flagships (for better or worse).

That brings us to the latest OnePlus 10 Pro. All of the flashy specs you could ask for are here — including a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, 5000 mAh battery, and a 6.7-inch 120Hz display. It’s a solid all-around package, even if it makes a few compromises along the way. There’s no IP68 water resistance rating, no revolutionary new features compared to the OnePlus 9 Pro, and the $899 price tag is only $100 less than competing phones from Samsung and Apple.

But that’s not to say the OnePlus magic is completely dead. Unlike most other smartphones sold today, the OnePlus 10 Pro still comes with a charger in the box. That may seem like a small thing on paper, but it totally goes against the current flagship trend. The iPhone 13 Pro, Galaxy S22 Ultra, Pixel 6 Pro, and so many other phones now ship without a charging adapter in the box — forcing you to go out and buy one as a separate accessory. That’s not the case with the OnePlus 10 Pro. No matter where you buy the phone or which color you get, all configurations come with a charger. It’s that simple.

The OnePlus 10 Pro Comes With A 65W Charger

OnePlus 10 Pro

Getting any free charger with a phone is unexpected these days. But the OnePlus 10 Pro doesn’t include a cheap, slow charger and call it a day. Instead, it comes with a 65W charging adapter — one of the fastest available for a U.S. smartphone in 2022. For some context, the Galaxy S22 Ultra supports up to 45W charging, the Motorola Edge+ (2022) goes up to 30W, and the Pixel 6 Pro only goes up to 23W.

How big of an upgrade is that 65W charger in daily use? It means that the OnePlus 10 Pro charges from 0 – 100 percent battery in a little over 30 minutes. Just take the included charging adapter and cable, plug in the OnePlus 10 Pro, and it gets a full battery faster than any other phone you’ve probably owned before. It’s a feature that can legitimately change how you think about charging. Have a low battery and need to leave the house soon? Just plug in the OnePlus 10 Pro for a few minutes, grab it on your way out the door, and it’ll have a full (or nearly full) charge before you know it.
