How To Screenshot On OnePlus 10 Pro: All Tips & Tricks You Should Know

The OnePlus 10 Pro can run the latest apps, most graphically intense games, and demanding 4K video streams. But how in the world do you take screenshots on the phone? While it may seem like a fundamental feature, screenshotting things on your phone can be incredibly useful. Whether you need to help a family member use their phone, share a funny picture you found on Twitter, or show someone a restaurant you want to check out, being able to screenshot is essential.
Where things get tricky is remembering all of the different screenshot methods. Every smartphone handles screenshots a bit differently. Whether you have an iPhone, Samsung device, or a Google Pixel, the steps for taking a screenshot vary from phone to phone. This is also true of the OnePlus 10 Pro. If you just got the 10 Pro and aren’t sure how screenshots work on it, here’s everything you need to know.

As with most phones, the easiest way to screenshot on the OnePlus 10 Pro is using its button shortcut. Quickly press the power + volume down buttons whenever you want to screenshot something. The OnePlus 10 Pro flashes its display and shows a preview of the screenshot in the bottom left corner. If you wait a second for the preview to disappear (or swipe it away), the screenshot is saved as is to your photos app. But that’s not all you can do. If you’re on a website or app, tap the ‘Scroll’ button below the screenshot preview to capture more of the page. This automatically scrolls down the site/app you’re on, takes another screenshot, and stitches them together to create one long, uninterrupted screenshot (useful for sharing lengthy recipes, text conversations, etc.). OnePlus 10 Pro users can also tap the screenshot preview to access editing tools — including crop, markup, filters, text, etc.
More Ways To Screenshot On OnePlus 10 Pro
If the power + volume button shortcut is difficult to use, the OnePlus 10 Pro offers a couple of different ways to capture screenshots. Another option is to swipe down on the screen with three fingers. This works on the home screen, in applications, playing a game, or anywhere else on the 10 Pro. Take three fingers, swipe down anywhere on the display, and a screenshot is saved. Similarly, you can press and hold three fingers on the OnePlus 10 Pro to take a partial screenshot of only that specific area where your fingers are. And if you drag your fingers after the screenshot preview appears, you’ll extend the screenshot capture area to take a scrolling screenshot.
Last but not least, the OnePlus 10 Pro has a dedicated settings page for adjusting all of your screenshot settings. Open the Settings app, scroll to the bottom of the page, tap ‘System settings,’ and tap ‘Screenshot.’ This is where you can enable/disable the different screenshotting shortcuts, watch a tutorial on how they work, choose where the screenshot preview is displayed, and more. It may seem like a lot of settings for such a simple feature, but that’s what makes the OnePlus 10 Pro so great in the first place. If there’s anything you want to change about the phone — even something as simple as how screenshots work — chances are it has you covered.
