The March Madness app is one of the best ways to stream all of the men’s tournament games — but is there a March Madness app for Samsung TVs? There are more smart TV platforms available today than ever before. Between Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Google TV, and numerous other operating systems, there’s a lot to choose from.
And that’s just scratching the surface. If you have a Samsung smart TV, it runs Samsung’s own Tizen operating system. While it may not be the most recognizable name, the Tizen OS for Samsung TVs is actually quite good. It has an easy-to-use interface, works with Alexa and Google Assistant for voice control, and even supports AirPlay 2. Samsung smart TVs also have access to a huge selection of streaming apps. Whether you want to watch Netflix, Hulu, Apple TV+, HBO Max, or something else, there’s a good chance your Samsung TV has an app for it.

Unfortunately, the app library for Samsung smart TVs is not perfect. This is especially true if you have a Samsung TV and want the March Madness app. As it currently stands, the official March Madness app is not available for Samsung TVs. The March Madness app is available on Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, Google TV, Xbox, iOS, Android, and macOS. There’s also a March Madness app for LG TVs. Samsung TVs, unfortunately, aren’t included in that list.
How To Watch March Madness On Your Samsung TV
Although the March Madness app isn’t available for Samsung TVs, that doesn’t mean you can’t watch the games at all. The best way to watch March Madness games on a Samsung TV is through the YouTube TV app. YouTube TV has all the necessary channels you need to stream every March Madness game (including CBS, TBS, TNT, and truTV). YouTube TV costs $64.99/month, and for a limited time, new subscribers can get their first three months for $54.99.
Samsung TV owners can also watch March Madness from the Hulu app. So long as you have the Hulu + Live TV plan, you’ll be able to watch every single March Madness game as it comes up. Hulu + Live TV is slightly more expensive at $69.99/month, but it also comes with Disney+, ESPN+, and the rest of the Hulu library (in addition to its 75+ live TV channels).
Folks with a Samsung TV aren’t really missing out on anything by not having the March Madness app. The March Madness app makes it a little easier to find games, see scores, and check the official bracket. Outside of those features, you’re watching all of the same games whether it’s on the March Madness app, YouTube TV, or Hulu. That said, we wouldn’t complain if the March Madness app comes to Samsung TVs in time for the 2023 tournament.
